I am very happy with these guys... totally.
To this point I unfortunately have not made back my start up money. I and you should realize you will lose first and then if and that is a big if you learn from your mistakes, you can turn it around.
I lost money because of not knowing what I was doing, When there was a problem they reimbursed me twice in very short order. I was impressed.
I thought the complaints might be true at times but now I see it was just how I was trading, I am willing to admit that and these others should as well. The forum is awesome as well, I have learned a lot ( I knew nothing before).
I see no issues at all with these guys, if I ever have one that is unreasonable I will report it right here, but I dont expect to have to do that.

I continue to like the service, the research provided (free and membership) and the executions. When had issues, its not been because of FXCM, only because of my own poor trading decisions.
Here's what I recommend to newbies, being barely out of that category myself:
- Don't use automated trading or MT4 platform
- Trade the news; find a news coverage provider (live, or pre-news strategy; many are freely available) and ** listen ** to what they say
- Learn to use indicators, but don't overdo them. MACD is perhaps the most valuable indicator out there. Stochastics provides detail MACD doesn' show. RSI/Momentum is your gut check. Pivot points show chart levels other indicators don't show. Bollinger, and a good MSA and EMA to confirm sell and buy points and you're all set.
- Learn the "personality" of the pairs you trade and don't trade linked pairs in the same direction (use one to hedge the other if needed).
- Keep greed and fear out of the equation - meaning set your stops and don't change them in the negative direction, and your limits so that when you walk away from the data you benefit from spikes before retracement.
- The trend is your friend. Trade in the trend one timescale up from your trading timescale unless you have a serious reason to go in the other direction.
- Listen to signals. Ignore opinions.

So, I am soo German, let's be more detailed *smile*:
MT4 sometimes make problems or has time lags with FXCM. Right.
Because that tool is build for MARKET MAKER broker - and FXCM isn't!
If you get the MT4 via FXCM they give information about that. via email and via telephone talk.
I believe they offer the MT4 - and have sometimes problems with that - because sooo many people asked about that tool. They heard about that tool and didnt wanna talk about other possibilites...
So, if there are sometimes problems with that tool - lets be fair and detailed - then its a problem of the software, not FXCM.
I trade via the Trading station of FXCM - manual.
Excellent fast and good tool. No problems!
But I wouldnt trade manual with the MT4.
If you wanna take MT4 and FXCM, you get ECN trading - no Market Making.
But sometimes time lags.
If you take MT4 with other brokers - mostly of them are Market Maker and you get bad execution...
So, decide avout that 2 possibilities!
Or trade manualwith FXCM without problems.

I'm new client in FXCM, Thank you FXCM Micro for the 50USD bonus and free head start on your brokerage. I hope i can make 1k and start earning 200-500 a month from the free bonus.
I like the spread, execution and price feed on the micro station.
I have no more experience with FXCM other than this, so for now i will just rate than 4 stars, one for free bonus, one for good server, one for dailyfxplus signals and one for prompt support.
Looking forward to a bright future here.
